Job Title: Payroll and HR Officer

A dynamic organization is seeking a highly motivated Payroll and HR Officer to join their team based in Northern Gold Coast. This position will require a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high-volume environment.

As a Payroll and HR Officer, you will be responsible for the full function of Payroll, including ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee payroll and administrative support to the Human Resources Department. You will need to respond to payroll queries, calculate pay increases, back pays and process leave reconciliations. Other duties may include collating timesheets, new starter inductions, answering payroll queries, assisting with training courses and ensuring compliance, processing approved overtime, assisting with recruitment processes and monthly reporting.

To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience operating as a Payroll Officer or Senior Payroll Officer within a fast-paced, high volume organisation. You will need to be motivated, have an excellent understanding of current legislation, good computer literacy and numerical data processing speed and accuracy. Knowledge of Sage Micropay would be highly desirable and advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables are essential.

The successful candidate will be capable with developed communication skills, interpersonal skills, a great attitude and strong work ethic. They will be able to work in a flexible environment with opportunities to work from home once probationary period has been completed. This is a permanent full-time position within a friendly team environment allowing for a good work-life balance.
