Ambulatory Health Professional
Job Description:The Role of an Ambulatory Health Professional is pivotal in improving health outcomes for our community. You will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality clinical services, patient care, health promotion, and education to clients within our primary health care team.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside passionate individuals who are keen to make a difference in the lives of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
Your key responsibilities will include triaging, assessing clients, providing care planning, performing health screening assessments, administering medication, providing immunizations, assisting with GP procedures, and providing other primary health care needs within your scope of practice and expertise.
You will also be responsible for contributing to and enhancing the management and prevention of poor health, as well as providing mentorship and clinical support training to other team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Current Criminal History Check
- Working with Children Clearance
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in clinical nursing practice
- Previous experience working in cross-cultural service environments, particularly in Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare.

This role is based in Katherine, Northern Territory, and offers a rural town-based service that does not require excessive travel nor on-call services. The ordinary working week is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.
