About this challenging role:

This Senior Project Engineer position is a key opportunity for experienced engineers to lead the delivery of critical utility packages and contribute to the success of one of Tasmania's most significant infrastructure projects – the Spirit of Tasmania Devonport Terminal 3. The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding, commissioning experience, and excellent stakeholder management skills to deliver utilities safely, on time, and to specification.

The scope of work includes leading the delivery of high voltage power works, fire services, essential services such as sewer and internal communications, and stakeholder engagement with various authorities and stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, commissioning experience, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

About the Project:

One of Tasmania's most significant infrastructure projects, the Spirit of Tasmania Devonport Terminal 3 will deliver world-class port facilities to support the island's future growth. As part of our team, you'll be involved in the delivery of this landmark development, working closely with multiple stakeholders and statutory authorities.

The terminal will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including high-voltage power systems, fire safety measures, and essential services such as sewer and internal communications. Our goal is to ensure that these systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Utilities) to join our team and lead the delivery of these critical utility packages. If you have a proven track record of delivering utilities packages on large-scale civil or infrastructure projects, we want to hear from you.

About You:

You are a driven and solutions-focused engineer with demonstrated experience in delivering utilities packages on major infrastructure projects. You have a degree qualification in Engineering and a strong knowledge of HV works, commissioning processes, and lock-out / tag-out safety. Additionally, you have the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and statutory authorities, and a collaborative approach to working within multi-disciplinary teams.
