Job Description:

The NSW RFS is seeking a Supervisor Assurance to lead the oversight, management and delivery of the NSW RFS' assurance activities.

This role requires strong leadership skills, critical thinking capabilities, and experience in procurement and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the oversight, management and delivery of the NSW RFS' assurance activities.
  • Ensure the RFS meets its compliance obligations.
  • Develop and deliver an effective reporting framework for inquiries.
  • Lead a small team and build capability to enhance the team's assurance function.
  • Manage relationships with external providers and ensure their contract performance is effective.
  • Adapt to a dynamic working environment and prioritize work goals.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Proven track record in delivering assurance functions and forming strong partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Innate ability to lead a team and communicate roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience in procurement and contract management.
