About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications.

Your primary focus will be on working under direction as a member of a team responsible for developing software, integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) software, documenting technical processes, and assisting with testing and deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Takes responsibility for the development of software using a variety of software languages and development environments, to ensure it meets business requirements.
  • User Experience: Lead the development of software that supports high-quality user experience outcomes.
  • Process Improvement: Adhere to and improve software engineering processes.
Requirements
  • System Interdependencies: Ability to identify system interdependencies and liaise with other system stakeholders to resolve conflict and coordinate integrated solutions.
  • Technical Documentation: Experience documenting technical processes and writing documentation in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
