Software Development Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Expert to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining digital repositories related to land combat system specifications and standards. You will also support the upkeep and functionality of compliance tools used to assess data model conformance.
- You will work closely with Defence stakeholders to ensure adherence to standards and provide technical guidance on implementing software and system standards.
- Additional tasks may include drafting and updating detailed technical documentation, including software specifications and interface definitions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum 2 years' experience in software engineering, working across several programming languages, with a focus on C++.
- Practical knowledge of network-based programming, including middleware solutions like OMG DDS and low-level networking using BSD sockets.
- Demonstrated experience working within Defence projects, particularly producing technical documentation aligned with Defence standards.
- An understanding of systems engineering practices within Defence contexts and applying them in software development tasks.
