About the Role:

The role of a Housing Stability Specialist is to provide proactive support and services to individuals and families at risk of homelessness, focusing on early intervention and prevention strategies.

Key responsibilities include assessing clients' changing needs, developing and implementing case plans, and collaborating with community agencies to secure and maintain stable housing arrangements.

Ongoing assessment determines the client's evolving circumstances, and support is provided to help them achieve sustained tenancy, maximize independence, and engage with community resources.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement evidence-based case management plans using a trauma-informed approach.
  • Assist clients in accessing and maintaining stable housing, promoting self-sufficiency and community connection.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records, adhering to data collection requirements and quality standards.
  • Adhere to organisational service frameworks that prioritize client autonomy and social justice principles.
  • Support the implementation of best practices, promote efficiency, and foster collaborative relationships within the team.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in Social Work or Human Services, or equivalent practical experience in public and community housing sectors.
  • Current national police check and blue card (working with children).
  • Valid Queensland driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel within the designated service area.
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and adapt to changing circumstances.
