Job Opportunity: Assistant Advisor

This is a challenging role with broad exposure to all aspects of financial planning, mentoring from experienced professionals, and the chance to develop your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and contribute to new and existing client meetings.
  • Lead the client relationship as the senior advisor.
  • Assist with the preparation of high-level and complex strategic Statements of Advice (SoA's).
  • Research and develop financial strategies across wealth accumulation, investment strategies, balance sheet restructuring, debt management, estate planning, tax minimization, and asset protection.
  • Prepare ongoing strategic review documents.
  • Implement client recommendations, including establishing superannuation and investment funds, share portfolios, and the rollover/redemption.
  • Address general client queries.
  • Maintain and manage client portfolios.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in the industry within financial planning/advice, superannuation consulting, technical roles, or accounting.
  • A desire to invest in yourself and take advantage of the considerable training/support provided to develop you into the best advisor you can be.
  • Ideal candidates come from a paraplanning or client services background.
  • Exceptional client service focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Word, Excel, and analytical skills.
