About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Violence Practitioner to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a compassionate professional who can deliver critical support to women and children impacted by family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to referrals and provide outreach support in community settings.
  • Conduct assessments, deliver crisis interventions, and develop collaborative case plans with clients.
  • Connect clients with holistic services and community supports that meet their needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Advocate for client safety and well-being, identifying service gaps for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work or equivalent – Essential
  • Experience in family violence or child wellbeing work – Highly desirable
  • Crisis intervention skills and a calm, empathetic approach
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Familiarity with family violence frameworks and child protection principles
  • Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed practice
  • Current Employee Working with Children's Check
