Chief Hatchery Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Broodstock Technician.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining optimal hatchery operations, ensuring strict biosecurity compliance, and contributing to the success of our domestication program.
Duties
- Maintain high-quality water quality through routine testing and system checks.
- Assist in daily tasks including feeding regimes, health monitoring, and general care of prawns.
- Conduct disinfection procedures and facility hygiene to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Accurately document hatchery activities, including water quality, feed logs, and animal health observations.
- Assist in the upkeep of hatchery infrastructure, tanks, and filtration systems.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and manager to troubleshoot issues and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in aquaculture or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to learn water quality testing, microscopy, and basic hatchery operations.
- Ability to follow procedures meticulously and identify potential health or system issues.
- Capable of performing manual tasks in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a collaborative attitude.
