Family Clinician Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in delivering specialist interventions for families affected by mental health issues, substance abuse, and experiences of violence or neglect.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of families and contribute to their recovery and ongoing safety and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will provide clinical services to families where the risk of significant harm has been identified, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with clinical leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of social, psychological, and environmental factors affecting family functioning
  • Develop personalized intervention plans in consultation with clinical leaders
  • Provide support to families in their homes and communities, enhancing parenting capacity and child safety
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure a cohesive approach to care
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary degree and full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Nurse, or Senior Psychologist, or eligibility for membership of the AASW as a Social Worker
  • Significant experience working with families, particularly in mental health and substance abuse contexts
  • A current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across a large geographic area
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the impact of violence, abuse, or neglect on child development and extensive experience in assessment, counseling, therapy, and casework with families
