Job Opportunity

This is a unique chance to lead and support the development of communities, guiding initiatives in tourism, events, library services, customer service, and records.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing high-level support to executive managers and leadership teams, as well as expertise in community planning, cultural planning, social planning, and event planning.

  • Strategically direct the Community Development Unit
  • Develop organisational units and contribute to directorate and council strategic management
  • Implement change and continuous improvement within a significant service delivery area
  • Engage with the community and stakeholders to ensure future direction and needs are met
  • Manage human, financial, physical, and other resources to achieve business objectives and meet community needs

Key qualifications include relevant qualifications and experience in community development, leadership, and management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for success in this role.

Additional requirements include working effectively in a shared office setting and possessing a current Queensland 'C' Class Driver Licence.
