Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic and collaborative team as a Literacy Support Specialist.

The successful candidate will provide targeted support to students in Years 7 and 8, working in small groups and one-to-one settings. Experience in a secondary setting is preferred, but applications from teachers currently working in primary schools are also welcome.

As a key member of our Learning Diversity team, you will case manage Learning Diversity students by liaising with families, reading and synthesizing professional reports, and collaborating with allied health teams. You will also run Student Support Group meetings and take an active role in moderation sessions.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Experience in teaching literacy skills to students in Years 7-9
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
