Job Title: Disability Support Worker
About the RoleWe are seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
This is a casual position with flexible hours and a minimum commitment of two hours per week. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in disability support or a related field, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social and recreational activities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that respects the rights, choices, and dignity of each individual.
- Collaborate with individuals, their families, and other members of the support team to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support provided, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Previous experience in disability support or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a relevant qualification.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Casual position with flexible hours.
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
