We are seeking an experienced Counsellor/Group Worker to join our team at BaptistCare. As a Counsellor/Group Worker, you will provide counselling, support, and specialist group programs to individuals, couples, children, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed counselling and support services to clients
- Develop and deliver specialist group programs for individuals, couples, children, and families
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive support services
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
- Provide ongoing support and case management services to clients
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant human services field (e.g. Psychology, Counselling)
- Clinical membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA)
- Experience in providing counselling and group work services
- Experience in working with clients who have experienced domestic violence
- Ability to work in a trauma-informed practice
- Ability to work with diverse client groups, including First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTIA+, and people with disabilities
