The Procurement Specialist role involves preparing and monitoring contracts to ensure alignment with organisational objectives, legal requirements, and compliance standards.
This position requires collaboration with contract owners, procurement leads, and legal counsels to finalise contract formation accurately and promptly. It also entails conducting thorough due diligence before seeking contract approval.
Key responsibilities include identifying and communicating potential risks, inconsistencies, or non-compliance issues in draft and active contracts. Additionally, this role involves maintaining and updating contract databases and repositories to ensure all documentation is accurate and accessible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering contract execution, contract variations, extensions, and terminations. They will also analyse spend data, prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries to provide insights on contract performance, risks, and compliance.
Furthermore, this role involves monitoring and reporting supplier/contract performance against contract obligations and KPIs. The candidate will assist in dispute resolution and contract close-out processes, as well as recommend process improvements to enhance contract governance and efficiency.
