Job Title: Senior Consultant – ESG Strategy and Assurance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our team at ERM. The successful candidate will work on a variety of challenging projects for clients across a range of industry sectors, with a primary focus on the mining / metals supply chain.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide management systems, programs, policies, and standards to support clients in the mining/minerals supply chain.
  • Provide expert guidance on Responsible Mining Standards and associated frameworks, including IRMA, TSM, ASI, Copper Mark, RMI, ICMM, ResponsibleSteel, and others.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of critical mineral supply chain due diligence processes and related drivers, including emerging legislation and stakeholder-led initiatives.
  • Interact with clients at corporate, division, and site levels, delivering presentations, trainings, and workshop facilitation.
  • Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations, ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Analyze complex data, trends, and concepts, distilling them into clear and concise takeaways and executive summaries.
  • Develop perspectives on demand drivers, integrated services, go-to-market campaigns, and proposals for existing and new clients.
  • Maintain and cultivate client relationships, representing a full range of ERM services by staying knowledgeable of trends in the environment, health, safety, and sustainability fields.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 to 8 years of professional experience relevant to the responsibilities described above.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating clear deliverables for audiences ranging from corporate executives to plant-level operators.
  • Direct experience developing and implementing corporate strategy, organizational design, and/or process optimization.
  • Experience or working knowledge of mining/metal supply chain and industry requirements.
  • Experience with data analysis, modeling, and visualization preferred.
  • Strong MS Office computer skills, with an advanced understanding of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting tight deadlines, and traveling to clients as needed.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, hard science preferred.
  • MBA; joint master's degree with an environment-related program preferred.
Additional Preferred Skills:
  • Lead Auditor/Practitioner status in ISO 14001, SA 8000, APSCA, CSCA is preferred.
  • Fluent in either Spanish or French, both written and spoken.
  • Professional experience in any of the following industries: Jewelry, Refiners/Smelters, Mining.
