Payroll Specialist Role

This is a key position within an organization, responsible for designing, implementing and rolling out an enhanced payroll process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the payroll services for approximately twenty clients. Additionally, the practical understanding gained from working with clients will be utilized in developing a process covering real estate agency employment agreements, staff onboarding and payroll. This payroll solution will then be tested and rolled out to the wider business network on a national level.

About the Position:

  • Manage the payroll processing for approximately twenty clients on a fortnightly basis.
  • Collaborate with the team to support day-to-day payroll functions including process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Design an effective end-to-end payroll process covering real estate agency employment agreements, staff onboarding and payroll.
  • Create a comprehensive payroll and employment training program.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring a clear audit trail for all data changes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to resolve any payroll-related queries, building relationships and responding in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the wider team and clients to process employee-related changes, payroll adjustments, and onboarding/offboarding etc.
  • Provide payroll reporting, reconciliations, and end-of-year processing.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of end-to-end payroll experience, with exposure to multiple systems and software being advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Have a hands-on approach to strengthen and enhance the payroll function.
  • Possess excellent payroll knowledge and processing skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excel in relationship-building and possess a proven track record of effective communication in a dynamic work environment.
  • Be able to adapt to an evolving role with enthusiasm.
