Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Protection Specialist with expertise in backup and recovery operations. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, focusing on daily operational excellence, capability development, mentoring, and environment design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily backup and recovery tasks across diverse environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backup-related issues to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Maintain documentation of backup configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient backup and recovery solutions.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance service offerings.
  • Develop and maintain best practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Deliver internal training sessions to upskill team members on backup technologies and processes.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders on backup strategy and architecture.
  • Lead workshops and assessments to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backup strategies with broader IT goals.
  • Proven experience in Commvault software suite
  • Strong understanding of storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
  • Experience in designing and implementing backup architectures in hybrid or multi-cloud setups.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to service improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
