We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator within our Bioethanol team at our Melbourne facility. Key Responsibilities- Ensure proper scheduling and monitoring of transport requirements to achieve on-time deliveries and comply with relevant legislation and safety standards.
- Verify that bulk loads meet customer-specific requirements and adhere to the Tank Loading Hierarchy and Wash Program guidelines.
- Coordinate regular performance meetings with third-party logistics providers, documenting and reporting all agreed actions.
- Identify and implement the most cost-effective delivery methods wherever possible.
- Conduct daily checks and corrections on freight and cartage reports, including updating deliveries, rectifying double entries, and addressing shipment failures.
- Coordinate with terminals and external suppliers to ensure bulk deliveries are scheduled as per customer requirements and monitor the performance of outsourced warehousing facilities to maintain agreed stock levels.
- Perform and reconcile all stock counts according to the annual schedule, resolving discrepancies and providing necessary reports.
- Manage daily interactions with sales, logistics, and operations teams, ensuring timely communication and participation in review meetings and audits, with all incidents recorded and actions followed through.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar logistics role. They should have significant knowledge of SAP cartage processes, and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Experience with dangerous goods transport, chain of responsibility legislation, and inventory management is highly desirable.
