Academic Support Specialist

Sacre-Coeur is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide educational support to students.
- This role is responsible for developing and implementing tailored learning plans, ensuring students receive the best possible learning experience.
The successful candidate will be able to develop and implement effective strategies to support student learning, collaborate with teachers and other support staff, and maintain accurate records of student progress.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to students in academic areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics;
- Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and implementing teaching strategies;
- Support students with special needs, including those with disabilities and English language learners;
- Facilitate small group instruction and one-on-one sessions as needed;
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, families, and community organizations to promote student success;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, Special Education, or a related field;
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar role or supporting students with diverse needs;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals;
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in education;
Flexible working hours may be available, and this position may involve occasional evening or weekend work. However, please note that these arrangements are subject to change and will be discussed further during the recruitment process.
