About the Role

The Grade 3 Physiotherapist will work as a senior member of the multidisciplinary team to provide clinical physiotherapy services to clients using advanced evidence-based practice skills. The successful candidate will ensure that their practice is in accordance with the Australian Physiotherapy Association Code of Conduct and St John of God Health Care policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
  • Use evidence-based patient treatment outcome measures and patient feedback - satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities.
  • Prioritize and delegate duties of physiotherapy caseloads for self and supervised staff.
  • Promote professional values and ethics in clinical practice.
  • Demonstrate strong, current clinical knowledge and skills and apply this to contribute to supporting individuals and teams in clinical practice.
  • Lead and contribute to undergraduate student programs and training.
  • Lead and develop highly performing teams.
  • Accept responsibility for maintaining and strengthening own professional knowledge and expertise.
  • Adhere to all applicable St John of God Health Care policies and guidelines.
  • Take reasonable care of themselves and others.

Requirements

  • Hold a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist.
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical experience and leadership in a highly specialized area of clinical practice within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in the initiation, design, and implementation of research and quality improvement activities.
  • Recent experience in physiotherapy services in relevant clinical settings, including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments.
