Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team.

The role of Senior Accountant is a challenging opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to utilize their expertise in financial management, analysis, and reporting.

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC offers a culture that emphasizes growth, transparency, and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger accuracy by recording transactions, preparing journal entries, and ensuring financial controls are in place.
  • Assist in monthly close process preparation, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Verify transaction documents and assist in report preparation, including financial records and statements for management.
  • Investigate issues related to profitability and perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Desirable: MBA or CPA certification, 4+ years of accounting experience, and knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial controls.
  • Excellent organizational, collaboration, and communication skills, as well as prioritization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
