With over 15 years of experience in providing secure, reliable, and proactive services to Government agencies, we provide internet gateway services to 42% of federal government agencies. We are the first Australian cloud approved by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD).

This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 3 days in the offices and the remaining working from home.

The Opportunity

A unique opportunity has arisen to join us as a Cloud Architect who will play a key part in this team and be a core member of a highly skilled team committed to supporting a portfolio of Government customers.

The Cloud Architect will provide architecture design and deployment of new products to the security product catalogue. Reporting to the Chief Product and Operating Officer, you will play a critical role in the overall growth and operational efficiency of the group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create Cloud Technology solutions that meet customer needs
  • Provide leadership in Cloud Architecture and collaborate with the team to deliver best practices
  • Work with and be across all technology and projects, both new and emerging
  • Ensure all deployments of solutions are achieved
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures relevant to the technology and in accordance with necessary frameworks and accreditations used by MacTel
  • Hold a minimum of 7 years' experience in data centre and major service provider storage platforms
  • Extensive experience within a Storage Area network using both IP and Fibre Protocols
  • Solid knowledge of Virtualisation and Cloud technologies is desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows VDI, Linux VDI, or Gold Image is also desirable
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to write clear Work Instructions for build and operations engineers to follow
