Emergency Nursing Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled veterinary nurse to join our dynamic team. As an Emergency Vet Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Our facility is committed to providing cutting-edge emergency and critical care services to pets in need. Our nurses excel in a supportive, team-oriented environment – many often transitioning from general practice, ready to take on new challenges in emergency veterinary care.

This is a great opportunity for a GP vet nurse looking to expand their clinical skills and work with a variety of cases. We offer on-the-job training, ongoing professional development, and penalty rates for most shifts.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with a minimum 3 years of nursing experience in a busy general practice or referral hospital setting.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 rotating roster.
  • A friendly, easy-going nature, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong work ethic, efficiency, and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality patient care under busy conditions.
  • Proficiency in anaesthetic monitoring and nursing critical and ventilated patients advantageous.
  • Familiarity with RX Works, Smartflow, and Idexx blood machines advantageous.
