Child and Youth Mental Health Lead

Clinicians in this team deliver high-quality, timely mental health, alcohol, and other drug triages to determine the most suitable treatment and care pathways for infants, children, and young people.
- Referrals are received in written and telephone form, with the triage process mainly undertaken by phone.
- Triage clinicians, under established governance structures, provide clinical advice, recommendations, and referrals.
Senior Clinicians demonstrate leadership in developing the Child and Youth Triage team and the broader Acute Intervention Services program.
They also provide direct support to RPN3 clinicians rostered on shift with them and may act up as Phone Triage Manager when the manager is absent.
Additionally, Senior Clinicians help manage staffing emergent shortfalls and perform shift coordination functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement triage strategies to enhance service delivery
- Provide clinical guidance and support to team members
- Assist in managing staffing shortages and coordinating shifts
This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless service delivery and patient care.
