Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and passionate support workers to join our team at Afea. As a support worker, you will provide one-on-one support to elderly or clients with disabilities, assisting with daily living activities, building genuine rapport, and collaborating with care coordinators and other relevant parties to achieve client goals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, including feeding, bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting, and mobility
  • Provide one-on-one support to clients with disabilities, including physical, intellectual, neurological, acquired brain injury, or psychosocial
  • Build genuine rapport with clients, providing companionship and transportation for medical appointments or outings
  • Collaborate with care coordinators, care managers, and other relevant parties to help achieve client goals
  • Engage and interact with clients from diverse cultures and backgrounds
Requirements
  • Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability) or Equivalent
  • NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
  • WWCC (if willing to work with children)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate
