Internal Auditor Job Description

Melbourne-based Asset Management company seeks an experienced Internal Auditor for a Risk Project. The successful candidate will join the Regulatory Change Projects team to support the delivery of risk and regulatory remediation programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a robust methodology for documenting project deliverables and outputs.
  • Ensure product consistency throughout the delivery cycle, including design, implementation, and embedding phases.
  • Implement ongoing quality improvement processes in collaboration with the delivery team.
  • Establish and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement across teams.
  • Plan and execute project assurance activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and finalize documentation and closure packs before external distribution.
  • Identify quality-related areas for improvement and upskill the team accordingly.
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement.
  • Maintain project infrastructure to support daily operations.
  • Support Project Managers with dashboards and project reporting across portfolios.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Audit, Quality Assurance, and/or Risk Projects from leading banks.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Finance, Risk, or a related field.
  • Experience in Assurance testing within first, second, or third lines.
  • Experience in process improvement.
  • Experience working in regulatory compliance-driven environments and projects is highly advantageous.
Desirable Skills:
  • Data Analytics (Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Exposure to first line/second line/operational roles in Asset Servicing/Fund Administration/Capital Markets/Cash Payments operations is highly regarded.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate, likely $85-100ph.
