Strategic Government Relations Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our engagement with government, Parliament, policy departments, and other external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Administrative Support: Provide forward planning and tracking for key priorities.
- Communications and Engagement: Work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for presentations, brief senior executives and government, and assist in producing publications.
- Workforce Development: Support staff growth through process review, knowledge management, systems, data, and induction.
- Leadership: Supervise and support junior staff in the team, branch, and organisation.
- Event Coordination: Prepare for key stakeholder meetings and events throughout the year.
- Experience in administration, regulation, projects, communications, and engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, prioritise, engage, communicate complex issues simply, research, analyse, and supervise junior staff.
- Sound understanding of ACCC's role, current issues in Competition and Consumer Law, and policy development.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiating, and working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
