Job Description

The role of a Supplier Relationship Manager is multifaceted and pivotal in our Building and Restoration Services team. The primary objective of this position is to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with preferred suppliers, aiming to reduce risk and create value for clients.

As a key member of the team, you will oversee every aspect of the supplier relationship process to ensure optimal claimant and client service. This involves ensuring all external contracted obligations are met consistently and effectively.

  • Conducting needs assessments, due diligence, onboarding, and providing training for new suppliers.
  • Monitoring and maintaining portfolio service delivery, including time, cost, quality, and customer service metrics.
  • Maintaining supplier information records and databases.
  • Managing agreements and relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of products and services that meet Client and internal service line requirements.
  • Improving and maintaining supply agreement/s and tender documentation.
  • Improving and managing tender processes to protect the interests of the business and compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Resolving contractual and supplier/customer disputes to maintain good supplier/customer relationships.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require sound knowledge of the insurance industry, specifically the claims lifecycle, including applicable legislation, codes, and products.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills are also essential, along with knowledge of property claims – building, contents, landlord, strata, and commercial.

Insurance industry experience in claims fulfillment management, analytical, relationship management, and communication skills are crucial for success in this position.

Experience and knowledge of Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) and Home Warranty Insurance are highly desirable, as well as knowledge of building rectification methods.
