About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator to lead our Estimating Team at Smith & Co Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality estimates and tenders for civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain well-organized systems and records to assist with the preparation of best tender submissions
  • Review and analyze tender documents, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with bid managers and estimates managers to prepare and submit tenders
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to junior estimators and team members
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil estimating with a strong background in civil infrastructure projects
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality estimates and tenders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
