Speech Pathologist

Your opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Plena Healthcare, providing mobile Speech Pathology services to adults living in residential aged care facilities and the local community.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including those with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and ageing-related decline.
As a Speech Pathologist with Plena Healthcare, you will have access to extensive resources, including internal clinical supervision, and opportunities to attend internal and external workshops. You will also have a budget of $500 to attend professional development programs of your interest.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your calendar of appointments, with flexibility to choose your work hours and locations
- Assessing and diagnosing clients' swallowing and communication difficulties
- Potential for national travel to support clients in regional locations
- Providing telehealth-based dysphagia and/or communication assessment and intervention
- Liaising with our national team of Speech Pathologists
- Advocating for support for clients with communication difficulties
- Working closely with organisational staff, support coordinators, and your Plena colleagues to ensure optimum care needs are met
- Providing consultative and educational support to clients, their families, and colleagues

**Requirements**
To support our clients, you will need a professional qualification in Speech Pathology with an active membership of Speech Pathology Australia. You will be required to travel, so having a driver's license and a reliable form of transport will be critical.
