As a Privacy Specialist, you will play a vital role in safeguarding personal information and maintaining transparency with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in handling personal data in accordance with privacy regulations and customer expectations.
  • Conduct thorough Privacy Impact Assessments to mitigate potential risks associated with initiatives involving sensitive information.
  • Develop and deliver practical guidance on privacy best practices to support teams and their initiatives.
  • Manage and advise on incident response strategies to ensure effective remediation recommendations.
  • Design and implement comprehensive privacy training programs to promote awareness and compliance across the organization.
  • Support activities related to emerging technologies and regulatory developments, including AI and data protection.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the Privacy Office on a day-to-day basis.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in privacy laws and regulations, specifically the Privacy Act.
  • Ability to conduct thorough assessments and provide commercially relevant recommendations.
  • Experience in managing incidents and implementing prevention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills for providing clear advice on complex matters.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with diverse audiences.
  • Expertise in developing education and awareness materials promoting a culture of compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify critical compliance issues and develop mitigating controls.
