Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. This full-time role will contribute to the delivery of high-quality medical imaging services in a dynamic healthcare environment.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to utilize their expertise in ultrasound technology to diagnose and monitor patient conditions. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a range of ultrasound examinations, capturing and interpreting high-quality images, and communicating effectively with patients and the medical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing a variety of ultrasound examinations for patients, including abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, and other specialty scans
  • Capturing and interpreting high-quality ultrasound images to support accurate diagnoses
  • Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures and address concerns
  • Maintaining detailed patient records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Collaborating with the wider medical team to provide seamless, patient-centred care
  • Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and quality assurance protocols
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Medical Sonography or a related field
  • Graduate experience as a Sonographer in a clinical setting
  • Proficiency in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret scan results accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the medical team
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety
  • Registration with the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
