**Job Title:** Disability Support Worker**Location:** Gungahlin, ACT 2912 Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing supports to an NDIS participant in line with their personal care preferences, safety, and comfort.

The successful candidate will work closely with the participant to ensure they feel safe, heard, and respected at all times. This is a strict participant-directed preference for male support staff only due to the participant's personal comfort and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide non-hands-on personal care (verbal prompting only) during bathroom and dressing routines.
  • Offer emotional regulation, companionship, and social engagement.
  • Support community access and outings.
  • Build trust and rapport while maintaining clear, professional boundaries.
Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be a male worker.
  • Be under 35 years old.
  • Have experience working with complex needs, autism, intellectual disability, or mental health.
  • Hold inclusive and affirming values towards gender identity and diversity.
  • Possess strong professional boundaries and emotional resilience.
  • Be comfortable working independently while prioritizing participant safety and dignity.
Mandatory Compliance Documents

Before commencing, you will need to provide:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • Working With Children Check (NSW or ACT).
  • First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Proof of Car Insurance and Vehicle Registration.
  • Certificate of Completion for the NDIS Quality, Safety, and You Module.
