About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team as a Senior Cost Consultant. This is a 24-month fixed term position, offering a competitive salary of $171,495 per year for a 10-day fortnight, plus 14.75% superannuation.

As an Electrical Estimator at Energy Queensland, you will be responsible for delivering professional estimating services to our Energy and Infrastructure portfolios. Your expertise will be applied to deliver detailed project cost estimates, supporting two Senior Estimators on major electrical projects such as solar farms, wind farms, and battery projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct first principle estimates for tenders and formulate costs for electrical projects, including transmission and distribution lines, commercial, and industrial work.
  • Support Senior Estimators on 'tier 1' renewables projects, such as solar farms, wind farms, and battery projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Project Managers and other workgroups, providing estimation advice regarding delivery cost, duration, and change analysis.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Business, or Management, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • Strong technical knowledge of estimating techniques and practices, with experience in design, construction, maintenance, and operation of complex electrical infrastructure.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to negotiate and influence decisions relating to costs.
