Job Overview:

The role of an Intermediate Accountant involves assisting in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with statutory authorities on behalf of clients and working as part of a team to complete client work within allocated timeframes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of management reports, financial statements, tax returns, and BAS
  • Preparation of FBT returns
  • Liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure client work is completed within the designated timeframe

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree qualified
  • CA completed or near completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Committed to delivering exceptional service to clients
  • 2-3 years experience in a Chartered Accounting practice
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB AE, AE Tax and Accounting, Xero, Quickbooks
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Word software expertise
