Clinical Nurse Consultant Role in Kidney Transplantation

North West Queensland presents a distinct opportunity to deliver healthcare services to diverse communities in need. As a Clinical Nurse Consultant within the North West Hospital and Health Service Kidney Service, you will be part of an expert team providing care for patients with chronic kidney disease, haemodialysis, and kidney transplant options.

About the Opportunity

This is a permanent full-time position classified as Nurse Grade 7. The role demands clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced leadership relevant to the specialty of kidney transplantation. You will have the chance to make a positive difference in the lives of patients and their families.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licence.
  • A postgraduate qualification or current enrolment in a postgraduate program in a relevant area of study (highly desirable).
  • A Class Motor Vehicle Licence.

Please note that pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks. This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis. A period of probation may apply.
