About the Role">

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Geochemist to join our team. As an Environmental Geochemist, you will be responsible for supporting projects through all phases of development, from early-stage assessments through to closure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • The planning, execution, and interpretation of geochemical investigations and studies;
  • Characterisation of mine waste, water quality assessments, and predictive modelling of environmental impacts;
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will be working on a variety of environmental and mine waste-related projects, including design, execution, and interpretation of geochemical characterisation programs.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, geochemistry, geology, or a related field, with a solid understanding of geochemical processes and their relevance to mining and environmental projects.

Key skills and qualifications for this role include:

  • A minimum of 10 to 15+ years' experience in environmental geochemistry, preferably within the mining or consulting sectors;
  • Experience in the design, execution, and interpretation of geochemical characterisation programs (e.g. static and kinetic testing);
  • Technical expertise in Acid Rock Drainage and related fields;
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills;
  • A sound understanding of environmental legislation and permitting frameworks;
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines;
  • The ability to work independently, and as part of a larger project team.
