As a healthcare professional at St John of God Health Care, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to our oncology patients.

The Position
  • You are expected to commit to the organisation's service ethos through the provision of excellent service.
  • Caregivers must act in accordance with the standards of behaviour outlined in the SJGHC Code of Conduct document.
  • You must maintain and develop clinical skills in order to care for patients appropriate to level of competence.
  • You are required to deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively.
  • You must adhere to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards.
  • You are responsible for acting as the patient's advocate and facilitating the rights of individuals.
  • You must provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.
  • You participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care.
  • You must prioritise workload using resources effectively.
  • You are accountable for providing supervision to Enrolled Nurses, students and PCAs as required.

To succeed, you must have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Additionally, you must have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
