Job Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at an Oncology Centre based in a leading hospital.

This part-time position offers the opportunity to work 4 days per week, providing excellent patient care and ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience and hold a current AHPRA registration as a Nurse or eligibility for registration.

  • Provide direct patient care including education, wound management, and drug administration as per Practice Protocol.
  • Effectively manage nursing patient load and ensure all patient listed events are documented, communicated, and actioned.
  • Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
  • Establish communication for allied health services using ISBAR and document evidence; comply with patient handover procedures per ISBAR.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in nursing.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse or eligibility for registration.
  • Oncology background/knowledge of Radiation therapy and Medical oncology; training will be provided in radiation oncology nursing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy for patients and carers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and best practice principles, including NSQHS.
