We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Gosford and North Wyong, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles to industry standards and company expectations.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting thorough vehicle diagnoses and fault finding in accordance with Australian Industry Standards
  • Identifying mechanical issues and implementing effective repair methods
  • Completing general servicing and maintenance tasks
  • Maintaining workshop tools and equipment
  • Reading and interpreting fault reports, maintenance, and inspections forms
  • Filling out and maintaining job cards
  • Providing supervision and guidance to new and existing apprentices
  • Participating in regular training to develop professional knowledge and skills
  • Ensuring adherence to Workplace Health and Safety obligations
  • Road testing vehicles to identify performance-related concerns

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate III in Light or Heavy Engine Mechanics or equivalent (desired)
  • A Tradesperson licence (desired)
  • Master technician qualification (highly regarded)
  • Prior dealership or manufacturer-specific experience (highly regarded)
  • A valid NSW Class C driver's license - Manual and Automatic (desired)

In terms of personal qualities, you should possess:

  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a busy environment
  • A high level of dexterity and manual skill
  • The capacity to learn and seek guidance when required
  • Confidence in working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • A high level of professionalism
  • Effective written, numeracy, and verbal communication skills
  • Technical skills to a high standard

This is a full-time opportunity offering a salary of $60,000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with your skills, qualifications, and experience.
