">About the Role

The Senior Project Officer is responsible for providing administrative support, managing forward planning, and tracking priorities. You will also work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for presentations, briefings, and other communications activities.

In addition to your technical skills, you will have strong interpersonal abilities, including influencing, negotiating, and collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

  • Administrative Support: Undertake forward planning and support the tracking and planning of key team priorities
  • Communications and Engagement: Work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for Board and Committee presentations, briefing senior executives, Commissioners, and government
  • Workforce Capability: Support our people to grow their capability through process review and development, knowledge management, systems, and data
  • Leadership: Supervise and support junior staff in the team, branch, and broader organisation

We are seeking an experienced professional with a demonstrated ability to plan, organise, and prioritise a demanding workload, engage and work collaboratively with others, communicate complex issues simply, clearly, and effectively across different mediums, research and analyse issues to develop solutions and make recommendations aligned with strategic objectives.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as administration, regulation, projects, communications, and engagement
  2. Demonstrated ability to supervise and support junior staff to deliver key objectives
  3. Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiating, and collaborating with team members and stakeholders
  4. Ability to work across various workstreams and tasks, managing requests from different sources with a flexible attitude towards varying tasks
