About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Estimator to join our team at Metricon Homes in Australia's largest home builder. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high-performing estimating team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce sales estimates to reflect customer requirements, incorporating standard options, non-standard variations, foundation and footing requirements, and inclusions.
  • Ensure all requirements described in engineer's reports are incorporated into preliminary contracts and contract documents.
  • Follow company checklists to capture and process information required to determine fixed site costs.
  • Modify sales estimates accurately to suit requirements of engineers, surveyors, and building surveyors.
  • Prepare and document specific estimates in accordance with Metricon's design and construction details.
  • Calculate quantities and maintain inventories for standard options using Metricon's Estimating Systems software.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including Sales, Designers, and Purchasing teams.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with an Australian Residential builder as either a Sales or Production Estimator.
  • Working knowledge of the building and construction industry.
  • An Associate Diploma in Building Construction or equivalent construction knowledge (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and proven experience in estimating.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail.
  • An interest in continuous improvement and willingness to provide feedback to management.
  • The ability to thrive in a goal-driven, dedicated team environment.
Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
