Job Description

The Assistant Principal will provide educational leadership, management, and administration for a school or college. The role involves working closely with the Principal to ensure the smooth operation of the institution.

This includes:

  • Providing support to the Principal in educational leadership and decision-making
  • Managing and administering school operations, including staff supervision and student welfare
  • Developing and implementing educational programs and policies that promote student success and well-being
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and community members to support student learning and development

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CURRENT TASMANIAN REGISTRATION TO WORK WITH VULNERABLE PEOPLE (REGISTRATION STATUS – EMPLOYMENT)
  • Registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000
  • Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, 2005
  • Desirable: Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005
