Wildlife Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wildlife Officer to join our dedicated team at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. As a key member of our wildlife team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional animal care and welfare, ensuring the health and well-being of our animals.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Husbandry: Provide daily care and maintenance of animals, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health and well-being.
- Animal Health: Assist with veterinary procedures, administer medications, and maintain accurate records of animal health and treatment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of animal care, health, and welfare.
- Habitat Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of animal enclosures and habitats.
- Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care or equivalent.
- High level of general wildlife knowledge and professional customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude.
- Ability to carry/support up to 10kg for a prolonged period.
- Prepared to complete all necessary training and immunisations as may be required for this role.
