We are seeking highly skilled Graduate Nurses/Midwives to join our team at Western Health, where we deliver exceptional care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Job Title: 2026 Combined Graduate Nurse/Midwife Program
This full-time position offers a supportive environment for graduates to develop their skills in midwifery and nursing, working alongside experienced professionals.
The program is designed to provide a comprehensive on-boarding plan, regular debriefing sessions, and study days to help graduates transition smoothly into practice.
As a Graduate Nurse/Midwife, you will be responsible for assessing and documenting clinical, non-clinical, and social needs, identifying at-risk patients, and implementing risk minimization strategies.
You will also communicate patient status effectively during handovers, advocate for patients and families, and deliver safe, high-quality evidence-based care.
The successful candidate will have completed an Undergraduate Double Degree in Midwifery & Nursing in 2025 and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and document clinical, non-clinical, and social needs
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions
- Maintain accurate, legible, and legally compliant documentation
