Project Manager

As a seasoned Environmental Professional, you will be responsible for overseeing project Environment Approval and Post Approval functions within our Snowy 2.0 team.
About the RoleThis role requires collaboration with various disciplines to ensure statutory and regulatory planning requirements are met, while maximizing effectiveness and efficiency in achieving project objectives.
You will be accountable for:
- Developing and leading new planning approval modifications or changes
- Managing engagement of external resources/technical consultants to deliver requirements for planning modifications
- Ensuring transition from approval to construction is carried out in a formalized manner
- Leading early identification and provision of any emerging risks or work activities
- Developing and approving additional Management Plans as required by progress activities (e.g., Spoil Management Areas, Dredging works)
To excel in this position, you should have:
- Tertiary degree qualifications in Environmental Science or Engineering
- At least 5 years of professional experience in various capacities
- Construction experience and understanding of site work complexities
- Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiating skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and influence team members and external contractors
- The ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and demands in a measured and constructive way
