Seasonal Casual Sales Assistant Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Seasonal Casual Sales Assistant to join our team at JD Sports Bankstown. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and working collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide friendly, fast, and efficient service to every customer.
  2. Be a true JD ambassador, always showing positivity and professionalism.
  3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, trends, in-store promotions, and processes.
  4. Sell our products and work as a team to achieve sales and KPI targets.
  5. Maintain clean and tidy stock standards on the shop floor.

Requirements

  1. We're looking for flexibility, including weekends, late nights, and public holidays.
  2. Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service roles, or a genuine passion for connecting with people.
  3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers.
  4. Passionate about sports or fashion, with a genuine love for the JD Brand.
  5. A positive 'can-do' attitude and ability to work as a team.
  6. Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  7. Enthusiastic to learn new skills.

Our Recruitment Process

At JD Sports, we move quickly. Our goal is to ensure you are fully prepared from the moment you submit your application to the day you start in-store. Below is a quick overview of what to expect if you are successful in the recruitment process:

  1. Applications open on 13th September and close on:
  • 27th September for QLD, VIC, NZ & TAS
  • 4th October for SA, NT, WA, ACT & NSW
Seasonal contracts start in early November and end in February 2025, with a chance to stay on based on store needs.

Steps to Join JD Sports

  3. Right to Work Checks.
  4. Contract & Onboarding.
  5. First Day Induction: You will be invited to an induction shift before the Christmas rush begins.
