Clinical Nurse Consultant for Inflammatory Bowel Disease

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our Gastroenterology Team at the Children's Hospital.

  • This role provides expert level clinical advice and support to patients, carers and other healthcare professionals for children in partnership with other specialties and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop models of care that support the facilitation of contemporary care for complex patients;
  • Evaluate care management practices for patients and families;
  • Utilize current best and evidence-based practices in providing care;
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of clinical specialty related education programs within the specialty areas of Inflammatory Bowel Disease;
  • Provide clinical leadership and ongoing development of clinical practice;
  • Participate in formal processes for the strategic and operational development of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease service at CHW.

Requirements:

  • An experienced Registered Nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A collaborative approach to working with healthcare professionals from various disciplines;
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment;
  • Familiarity with current best and evidence-based practices in the provision of care;
  • A strong understanding of the principles of patient-centered care.
